A Short Course in Culinary Experiments is a self-
published book on Indian vegetarian cuisine. This book
puts into practice a newly-minted dictum for
vegetarian Indian cuisine: “Simple is Tasty.”  Here,
you will find recipes for tasty and easy to prepare
Indian dishes, made with ingredients usually available
in a typical US or Canadian supermarket.  Extensive
knowledge of spices and/or a stellar culinary
pedigree are not prerequisites to beginning your
culinary experiments.  (Well,
a non-expert?)  In fact,
it is my belief that a person with some cooking skills
and an inquisitive outlook will be able to prepare tasty
vegetarian food, following the procedures described
in the book.  I am hopeful that your Indian culinary
skills will improve as you progress in your
experiments and you will develop an intuitive
understanding for the use of various spices.  This
may eventually lead to the abandonment of this book
– yes, this book – and then, you can rightfully claim to
be an
expert in Indian cuisine.
